Gluten and Lactose Free Scones

This is the basic scone recipe, you can get created and add cranberries, raisin, nuts, cheese. Whatever you prefer on your scones.


500 grams 1-1 gluten free flour

2 tablespoons baking powder

1 stick of butter (125 grams)

250 ml lactose free milk

2 eggs

125 grams sugar

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons vanilla

Egg wash – 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of water whisked together.

In a bowl add the flour and baking soda. Blend the butter into the flour mix until it is pea size.

In another bowl measure and whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Then combine into the flour mixture and gently knead to a soft dough.

Allow it to rest for 10 minutes.

Roll out the dough (3/4’ thick), cut into desired shapes. Sizes should be similar.

Place on the baking sheet and brush the top with egg wash.

Bake in a preheated oven at 375F for about 15 minutes.
