As we embark in this gluten free journey and in trying to change all my baking recipes to gluten free. I have discovered that there is 2 types of all purpose gluten free flour but what is the main difference between them.
Gluten Free All Purpose Flour and Gluten Free 1-to-1 Baking Flour
The Gluten Free All Purpose Flour does not include Xanthan Gum in most the recipes you will need to add it to the flour. Usually 1/4 teaspoon for every cup of flour.
The Gluten Free 1-to-1 Baking Flour already has the Xanthan Gum already blended in the mixture, so you wont need to add it on your baking recipes. This also makes converting non gluten free recipes to gluten free much easier.
Gluten Free 1-to-1 Baking Flour can be quite pricy, I find the best price is at the Bulk store. They do have a good variety of gluten free flour types including a gluten free pizza dough blend d flour.
I hope this helps.
Happy Baking!
